Flexibility of assembly line for use of two different raw materials
Challenge
Modification of an existing production line to make the production of copper and aluminum wire inductors more flexible, meeting the customer’s needs.
Solution
From Grávalos we proceeded to modify the production facilities and work stations, introducing configurable equipment capable of quickly adapting to the specific characteristics of each material. Thus, by designing a customized solution, it is possible to make a quick version change, depending on the raw material to be used, thus complying with its different manufacturing characteristics.
Result and profit
One of the clearest benefits for the customer is in the reduction of his investment, since it is not necessary to invest in a second automatic production line for the production of the second variant. With a single production line, which is now much more flexible, it is feasible to manufacture two different product configurations, with all the advantages that this entails.
