Polycarbonate is another thermoplastic with which we work regularly in the Grávalos Group. We use it primarily for the manufacture of casings and mechanical protection elements since, among its properties, we find a high mechanical resistance, in terms of hardness and rigidity, as well as a high degree of resistance to corrosion:

• High impact resistance
• Properties suitable for molding and forming
• Material Colorless and translucent
• Electrical insulation
• High dimensional stability, thus meeting the precision requirements of technical components.
• Lightness
• Resistance to weathering and UV rays, which allows the preservation of its properties even in adverse conditions.

Because of the characteristics we have just seen, polycarbonate is an ideal material with which to shape parts that have to protect other elements from possible impacts or mechanical stress, as is often the case with products intended for the automotive industry.
